We’ve created the space you need to work out while keeping a safe distance. The gym has also been rearranged and clearly marked out for you to use safely, so it is easy for everyone to follow. We'll also control the numbers in the gym at any given time so it never gets too busy.

We've installed new self-cleaning stations and hospital grade disinfectant wipes so you can clean your kit before and after use, for added peace of mind. Cleaning stations are located in all key areas of the gym to make it as easy as possible.


All staff will be fully trained on our new cleaning and safety measures to ensure these are delivered to the highest standard. You'll also get the same warm welcome that you've come to expect at THE GYM Melbourne.

Our gyms will be deep cleaned every night with high-grade antibacterial disinfectant. The team will also clean every piece of kit and surface throughout the day, from dumbbells to treadmills and everything in between, so you can train with confidence.

When will THE GYM Melbourne reopen?

The Gym Melbourne will reopn its door to members 22nd June 2020 as informed by the Victorian governement.

Are fitness classes still happening and what are the restrictions?

Yes our fitness classes are on! Due to the current restrictions we have been forced to limit some of our classes. The classes that are available on our time table that are teal in colour, are available face to face and also via zoom. The classes that are different colours are face to face only. Face to face classes have a limit of 10 persons only!

What are The Gym opening hours?

We have temporarily restricted the hours of gym opening to ensure that we keep staff and members safe. This means that we can also increase the level of cleaning and can run a full deep clean while the gym is shut. Staffed hours are as follows; Monday - Thursday 7am to 7pm Friday - 7am to 3pm Saturdat and Saturday - Closed.

Will i still be able to see my Personal Trainer?

Yes, Personal Trainers will be able to provide safe, socially distanced training for their clients once The Gym reopens.

Are the changing facilities and lockers still avialable to use?

Yes, you can use the changing rooms. We are restricting the number of members in the changing rooms at the same time and have also taken a number of lockers out of use, and restricted use of sinks and hairdryers. We encourage people to change before and after the gym where possible, to avoid using the changing facilities.

Are you restricting numbers in The Gym?

Yes. We will limit the number of people in the gym at the same time, so members can keep a safe distance from each other. It's best to plan your visit at a quieter time to avoid having to queue.
